Buzz and Woody do Trick or Treating!

Mc was so excited to Trick or Treat this year. I bought him Charlie Brown's It's the Great Pumpkin DVD. Their Daddy elaborated it and let them watch it upstairs and had PaPa and Grandma ring the door bell at the end of the movie. They planted two pumpkins on the porch, left by the Great Pumpkin himself, of course. It was so cute to hear Mc retell the story. We let Mc wear his Buzz pjs and just bought fancy accessories to complete his costume. Talking wings and arm cuffs will be reused much more than the cheap lil costumes they sell. Max was "Woody" but really just wore his cowboy pjs with a fancy new red cowboy hat. Mc was convinced Max was Woody so thats all that mattered.
On Saturday I took the boys to the Boohaha parade on Brookside. It was perfect outside and we got lots of treats. Mc would get soooo upset when someone dropped pieces of paper with their advertisement or campaign stuff on it in his bucket. "NOT TRASH, only CANDIES!" he would yell! I tried to show him the candy attached to the papers, but it made no difference. So I had to guard his bucket from "trash" the rest of the parade.
Saturday evening Glenpool did trick or treating. Mc's favorite, Katie, came to see him. He was SOOOO excited to see her. He told Grammy, "My Katie makes me soooo happy!" Too sweet. Max really didn't notice anything was different about the evening. Mc would get excited every time the doorbell rang and we let him give candy to the kids. Then we loaded them up and headed to make a lil lap for Trick or Treating. Mc made it to about two houses and around the corner before he said "I wanna go home." We headed back and Mc revealed his plan to take all of Grammy's candy bucket and put it in his! He is a smart one!!
We put Max to bed and decided to let Mc wear himself out. That lasted all of an hour and 1 quarter of the OU game before he passed out next to his Katie.
Overall it was the perfect Halloween Eve. The boys even got to go trick or treating again with Daddy the next day!
Mc testing out his accessories

We bought this bucket at Walmart and he was sooo excite he slept with it during naptime

Mc wouldnt allow me to take his pic so i had to sneak pics of him at the parade

Howdy

Once again, the only decent pic of them together!

I believe Max carried the same two peices of candy around ALL night.

First house!

Second house!

Max couldn't see, but didn't care!

Last house! and notice she was about to give him "trash"! I had to go save her from Mc's attack!

Headed back home

Raiding Grammy's bucket

Max sorting through his goods

Telling Katie about how he saved his Daddy from a dinosaur. (his imagination is huge these days)

This is how he passed out. He told Katie "Lay like this. Do your feet like this (while wiggling them back and forth on the arm rest)" It was way cute.

Baby Nolan

NOLAN TRAVIS HARPER made his grand 7 week early entrance in to the world October 25, 2010 at 9:57am in South Haven, Mississippi. Yep, you read correctly, I said MISSISSIPPI!! Amy was on her baby shower trip in Memphis (where most of her family lives or gathers). We got word that Amy was having pains on Friday night, but I admit, I kinda brushed it off assuming she was whining and had just been cooped up in the car for 6 hours. SORRY AMY! Saturday Amy called her Dr and they told her to go to the ER cause it sounded like she was in labor. Chris called Grammy and came by the house to take off to Mississippi early Saturday afternoon. We were getting updates throughout the day and evening (during OU's embarrassing loss to Mizzou) but I was still thinking that no way Nolan would make his appearance this soon. Sunday morning came and Grammy was spazzing. She stared at every airline website, bus route, and probably even train schedules, for hours. Finally she decided to do a oneway car rental (they had too many cars in Mississippi and not enough people since Amy would probably not be allowed to drive back). At this point Amy was dilated to a 3 or so, but they were still trying to stop the labor. I had decided that I would wait until Nolan was coming before I left. So I dropped a spastic Grammy off at the Tulsa airport and called Chris to let him know she was loose! This is when Chris said the dr had just walked out and announced that Amy was still progressing so they were going to stop her Magnesium and Nolan would be here late that night or early Monday morning!! I immediately turned my car around and called Grammy to tell her to meet me where I dropped her off! We took off from there, I had no clothes or overnight items but we didn't have time to waste if we were gonna see Nolan's grand entrance! By the time we got there (six hours later through a horrible storm) Amy had gotten her epidural and had slowed down a lot. We waited and waited in the igloo of a room Amy had been put in. I guess her meds made her hot, but I swear it was 30 degrees in there. Anyways, I'll save the laboring stories for Amy to tell, but she did AWESOME. I know she must have been delirious and exhausted, not to mention starving since she hadn't had anything to eat since Saturday morning. But she delieverd the cutest 4lb 3oz, 17.5in nephew EVER! He came out screaming and has been doing sooo great ever since. He has never been on oxygen, has been eating pretty consistently, dropped a lil weight but has already made a move in the right direction by gaining an ounce. They were in Mississippi until Sunday, Halloween, when our insurance paid to have Nolan transferred to Tulsa!! Nolan and Amy flew into the Jenks airport on a tiny lil jet. Nolan is now at St Francis Children's Hospital. That place is fancy! He has his own lil room with seating for all his guests. Hopefully he will get to eating and put on some weight so we can play with him at home, but for now we are just soooo thankful that he and Amy are both doing soooo good. He is adorable! I think he looks like Chris, but I haven't seen any of Amy's baby pictures and I hate when people tell me they think my kids look like someone when they don't know!! haha! He is PERFECT!

Bubby Max

MAX = Mommy's boy, Grammy's boy, typical baby brother, animal lover, sucker lover, teradactyl squealer, goofy walker, jello lover, nose pickin', always sleepin', sink bath takin', mc envyin', awesome dancin', mc annoyin', cutest baby boy in the world!
Max just turned 15 months in the middle of October. I'm sure its the case with most familys that have more than one kiddo, but it seems that Max gets, kinda, overlooked. Not in the, we ignore him kind of way, but more in the we pick him up and tote him on our hip cause we are chasing big brother Mc around kind of way.
Typically you see his sweet side. Max is such a "baby" he loves to give love and be loved on. He immediately streches his lil short arms straight up as I walk in the room. He will actually sit on a lap for no reason other than, why not (not common with his big brother). He lays his head on your shoulder as you carry him around.
However, if you get this lil one on his own, or watch him exist in his own little world while big brother is demanding attention from someone else, you realize his personality is huge, goofy, and awesome!
Max will dance like no one is watching at the slightest, quietest tune, and it is hillarious. He will squat and swing his lil arms back and forth, up and down, and then take of struting across the room like he is on a mission only to quickly turn right back around and end up where he started and repeats the moves!
Max has just now started "playing" with Mc. He loves to play chase. I can just mention, "I'm gonna get you," and he cracks up and takes off "running" with his arms flailing about over his head (much like pheobe's running style from Friends). It is the cutest run EVER.
Max is my sleeper. He doesn't fight it, he actually almost requests it most nights. I can always tell when he is sleepy. He either flops his big lil ears with his hand or pokes his lil finger directly in his eye and whines. Yes, the eye poking is weird, but cute too.
And when I say he is a baby, its not all bad, nor all his fault. We baby him. He is my baby. Grammy loves to spoil him. Grammy still gives him a bath in our kitchen sink after dinner most nights as the whole family is in the the kitchen eating and chasing Mc around. He doesn't say much, but who needs to talk when he has big brother Mc for that!
He is my sweet, goofy, cute as can be, baby bubby!

Eye poking = sleepy

Throw a blanket down on the ground and he will do this EVERY time
